THINGS TO NOTE AT THE CONGRESS
The Congress will be taking place from 31 Oct -3 Nov and this email will provide you with the information you need for registration. Do note that all timings are reflected in Singapore time – GMT +8.
Congress Details

Registration Time: Daily from 7:30am – 8:30am
Venue: Marina Bay Sands (MBS) Expo and Convention Centre, Peony Ballroom, Level 4 (10 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore 018956)
Guest-of-Honour: Ms Low Yen Ling, Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry, Singapore
Thank you for your support. As we expect a large turnout for the Opening Ceremony this year, please do come early. You will need to show the QR code sent via email to you. Your confirmation email has been sent on 27 October. Please do check your spam folder to ensure that you have received it.
Pre-Congress Workshops on 30 October
If you have signed up for the Pre-Congress Workshop, please note registration begins at 7:30am at the Peony Ballroom Foyer (MBS Level 4).
Welcome Reception on 30 October, 6:00-8:00pm
Join us for a fun time of good food and networking with your fellow delegates at Bayview Foyer (MBS Level 4). This event is open to all delegates.
Gala Dinner on 1 November, 6:00-8:00pm
This event is ticketed and only delegates who have purchased tickets will be able to attend. Do note that the dress code is Office Attire. The Gala Dinner will be held in Orchid Ballroom (MBS Level 4).
Our Partners' Technical Sessions
We encourage you to attend our Partners' Technical Sessions that will be taking place throughout the Congress:
Oral Presentations
- Oral presentations are scheduled to take place during the Concurrent Sessions of the program. There will be a maximum of 7 sessions going on at the same time. Each room will be equipped with projector, screen and a PC laptop.
- Each presenter has 12 min presentation time (10 min for presentation, 2 min for Questions and Answers).
Please prepare your slides in a 16:9 aspect ratio. You may use your own slides or download the official congress slides template. - You will need to be present at your breakout room 30 minutes before the start of your session to load all contents into the Room Laptop via thumbdrive. (Please do not use CDs)
Poster Presentations
- Posters should be A0 sized and presented in portrait orientation.
- On the date of your presentation, please register and put your poster up at your allocated poster board between 07:30 - 08:20am in the Roselle-Simpor Ballroom.
- At the registration desk you will be provided with adhesive to attach the poster to the board.
- The presenter for the poster should be available to provide a verbal explanation of their presentation and answer delegates’ questions during the AM/PM Breaks and the Lunch Session. You may view the Congress programme on the Programme Tab
- If you wish to reuse your posters, please take down your poster at the end of the day by 5:00pm latest or it will be removed by the organizers.
Technical Tours on 3 November, 2:00 - 6:00pm
- You may register for the Technical Tours onsite during the World Congress at the Congress Registration Counters on 31 October 2022. This will be on a first-come-first-served basis and slots are limited to 25 pax per tour.
- Each Tour will follow a similar schedule and allow delegates to visit two separate locations. Delegates will gather at the Registration Area and Shuttle Buses will be arranged for each tour.

Safe Management Measures
It is not compulsory to wear masks during the Congress, but delegates may choose to do so at their perogative.
If you are feeling unwell or suspect that you may have been in contact with someone infected with COVID-19, please do stay at home.
Parking Coupons
Subsidized parking coupons are available at $8+ for the entire day. Simply show your IUFoST World Food Congress badge at the Customer Service counters at levels 1 and 3 to purchase parking coupons at this rate.
Photography and Videography
Please note that there will be photo-taking/video-taking at the in-person events and activities. By participating in the events, you hereby consent to have your photograph/video taken by the IUFoST Organising Committee and its partners for the purpose of marketing/promotion/publicity and to be published on media and public platforms.
